Mack Fire TruckRestoration

St. Louis 2004 Exposition acquired this 1926 Mack AC 700 Gallon Triple Combination Pumper, Fire Truck on July 27 2004.  Today, the truck is proudly displayed at Antique Warehouse below their Neon Mack Trucks Sign.  This truck has quite a history.  Originally the truck was built for the City of New York, however they later cancelled the order.  So it became a Mack factory demonstrator.  Floral Park Centre, N.Y. purchased the truck on June 7, 1930 for $5,000.00 after a pneumatic tire conversion was completed by Firestone.  After the truck was retired from the Floral Park Centre, the truck was put in storage.  It was later removed and restored to perfection.

The images below show the condition of the truck when it was taken out of storage, as well as several steps along the restoration process.  The truck was not restored by Antique Warehouse volunteers and as you will notice, it is an older restoration.  These images recently turned up and were scanned in for our records.
