October 2009

Since 1919 the Yacovelli Family has been providing St. Louis with some of the area’s finest Italian food at modest prices. I had the pleasure of dining at Yacovelli’s twice this past week, the food and service was perfect. 4th Generation Joe Yacovelli (SLU Grad) was on hand to oversee the front and the back of the house. Kerry a veteran server of 23 years provided excellent service with a smile. Sunday afternoons are very lively as they feature “all you can eat while you’re in your seat!” family style fried chicken dinners. Secondly there was a large banquet going on, prepared by banquet cooks of 30 plus years; Liz and Dorothy.

Insider Tip: Do not be detoured by a crowded parking lot. The place is huge, plenty of seating and parking in Yacovelli Plaza towards the rear.
