The International
Cockshutt Collectors held their U.S. national summer show at the
Annual TRACTORCADE SHOW located at the American Farm Heritage Museum
in Greenville, IL. On display was a wide variety of Cockshutt/Co-op tractors
and equipment.
This 3-day event was well attended and provided plenty
of variety for the whole family to enjoy. Demonstrations held at various
times each day included an operating saw mill, steam engines, a baker fan
and plowing tractors. On display for visitors to enjoy were classic cars,
antique fire engines, new equipment and a variety of antique farm implements
and machinery. Activities for the kids included a petting zoo, train rides,
kids’ pedal
tractor pull and a tractor parade. There was also a flea market area
on site.
The next scheduled event at the museum is The
Outhouse and Fall Festival
on October 11, 2008. Visit their website at
www.americanfarmheritagemuseum.org for
details. Greenville is a pleasant 45 minute drive from the St. Louis area
and the American Farm Heritage Museum is well worth the trip.
