     This past month the Lemay Fire Protection District held their annual open house.  This year Greg Rhomberg and the Antique Warehouse brought several fire engines from the collection including the 1948 American LaFrance, 1932 General Monarch, 1926 Mack and 1927 Ahrens-Fox.   Greg also brought the Budweiser II Boat.  In addition,  Gateway Fire Historical Society members, including president Ron Herman and vice president Kert Rosenkoetter, displayed vehicles.

     Along with the static display of antique fire trucks and current fire trucks, there was a lot going on.   Hot dogs, chili, soda, Ted Drewes and Dad's Cookies were served, free bike helmets, smoke detectors and Flu shots were also available.  There were games and activities, along with fire house tours and demonstrations.
