Local artist Bill Christman has plans for a miniature golf course
and sculpture park in the lot next to his
studio in the Skinker DeBaliviere
neighborhood (near the Delmar Loop).
To get things started he asked for the help of Greg Rhomberg and his
volunteer staff. On Saturday February 18, 2006, his crew ventured
into the cold (the coldest day of the year so far, just 7 degrees) to
tackle the project. Mostly there was just a lot of cleanup work,
clearing small trees and brush and separating recyclable materials.
The Cat Excavator supplied by Nu Way Rents made
quick work of the debris removal. Below you can view images from the clean
up, the beginning stages of the mini-golf course, and a few other pieces of
artwork Christman has around his lot.
